Tabspace is a Chrome extension that provides a local new tab workspace for open tabs, bookmarks, saved reading items, notes, and Reader Assist annotations.

What Tabspace Accesses

Tabspace uses Chrome extension permissions only for user-facing features:

  • Open tabs: show, focus, group, close, and deduplicate tabs.
  • Bookmarks: search, display, move, delete, and organize bookmarks.
  • Local storage: save reading queue items, extension settings, and Reader Assist annotations on your device.
  • Downloads: export local notes as .txt files when you choose to save them.
  • Webpages: run Reader Assist on http and https pages for focus mode, text selection tools, and annotations.

Data Handling

Tabspace processes data locally in your browser. It does not send your tabs, bookmarks, notes, annotations, browsing activity, or webpage content to the developer or to a remote server.

Tabspace does not sell user data, use user data for advertising, or transfer user data to third parties except as required by law.
